Dear Class - I received this information about an upcoming festival in Guelph and I thought some of you might be interested in either volunteering or attending.  The Resilience Festival is a community building event.  Let me know what you think.  (Teacher) Lisa

Here is a note from the Volunteer Coordinator for Transition Guelph’s spring festival of community resilience. Still plenty of chances left to help out!

Dear Community Member,

I am writing to invite you to Transition Guelph's upcoming Resilience festival 2015 and opportunities to get involved!

The Resilience Festival, spanning this year from March 20th-28th, celebrates Transition Guelph's ongoing work to strengthen community resilience via local initiatives. Our goal is to create a rich and vibrant community, addressing global needs for sustainability by building local projects such as community gardens, alternative energy production, inner transition, re-skilling (learning traditional skills), storytelling, and backyard sharing.

The Resilience Festival is our biggest and most wildly successful event of the year and is a chance for people to get acquainted or more familiar with Transition Guelph. It includes the eMERGE Ecomarket, Seedy Saturday, film scr eenings, a healthcare symposium, keynotes talks, a big and delicious Earth Hour potluck, and more. All information is here: http://www.guelphresiliencefestival.ca/

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved. Volunteering is a chance to meet new people, find groups of common interest, and contribute to building a resilient community. This is a people-driven project, presented by the community for the community.
